Power of the mind over the body, how to conceive, believe and achieve what you want in life
Do you believe there’s always a consequence to whatever you do; be it positive or negative? Unfortunately, most people don’t think so. They don’t realize or understand that negative thought or action will bring only negative results while positive thought and action will always help in achieving positive results. What everyone must understand is that the mind and body have to work in unison for things to work right. When the mind conceives something has to be done the body automatically does it because the mind is the command post where all the designing takes place whereas the body performs the act as demanded by the mind. For this to happen in its proper sequence the mind has to be strong and creative to command the body. If the reverse takes place and the mind is weak, the body takes over and tells the mind what to do. The body, however, can be weak and lazy and in such circumstances, it might not want to carry on and will let the mind know that it’s not ready to go any further and as such give up completely.
Therefore, according to the power of the mind over the body principle, the mind must always act as the stronger and superior and the body must always be in a position to act as ordered by the mind. When you say someone is lazy or never able to take any positive action that is a good example of a person who has let his body overtake his mind. He will always find excuses not to do something whilst the body will do whatever it wants which is being lazy, indulgent and unproductive and therefore never able to conceive or achieve anything positive mainly because the mind is weak and not in a position to command or take over the body.
We tend to see more and more people today that have weakened their minds and let their bodies take over causing them to be lethargic and unproductive and not having any desire to get up and go. Such minds, however, can be trained to reverse the order it has been used to for a long time. Training the mind is done by strengthening the will power so that it can make decisions and be able to order the body to obey those decisions. When this is done throughout a period of time, the mind becomes strong enough to order the body to perform what it wishes to. With the mind becoming strong, the body automatically starts obeying it which is how it should have been in the first place.
This is what is called being ‘principled’, where the mind is capable of reaching any height it wants or even go beyond the limits to achieve something it desires very much while the body has no alternative but to follow the mind and do as it says; thereby reaching goals that the body never would have thought possible earlier. It is, therefore, possible for almost anyone to achieve this by strengthening the mind to conceive and believe in what it can do and let the body achieve what is desired which is exactly what is meant by power of mind over the body.
